Caving in Coves de Sant Josep

Origen is the name of the new caving activity inside Coves de Sant Josep, which was launched in 2024. Through this activity, visitors can enter the cavity through galleries and siphons that have not been visited by the public until now. A tour full of beauty, with unique geological formations and virgin galleries that will transport visitors to the origins of the most emblematic cave in the province of Castellón.

Description of the activity

Led by professional guides, the activity includes an initial section in a kayak to navigate one of the longest underground rivers in Europe until reaching the area where you disembark and continue exploring the cavity on foot.

Required equipment

  • Water or sports shoes with soles in good condition.
  • Swimwear.
  • Spare clothes.
  • Towel.

Included equipment

  • Single or double kayak and paddles.
  • Wetsuit.
  • Helmet.
  • Access to changing room with showers.
  • Insurance.

Participants must be able to swim and must be between 12 and 65 years old, or over 65 if a medical certificate is provided. Underage children must be accompanied by an adult.

No previous caving or kayaking experience is necessary as there is a practical explanation before starting the activity.
