SPELEOKAYAK

This is a totally different way of discovering the Coves de Sant Josep. An activity that combines the observation of the karst formations inside the cave with kayaking.

Unlike the traditional boat tour, the kayak tour is a more leisurely visit lasting approximately 2 hours. Always accompanied by professional guides, the groups are small (about 16 people) and all the galleries of the visitable section of one of the longest navigable underground rivers in Europe are explored.

Equipment required

  • Water or sports shoes.
  • Towel.
  • Swimwear.
  • Spare clothes.

Equipment included:

  • Single or double kayak and paddles.
  • Wetsuit.
  • Helmet.
  • Access to changing room with showers.

No previous kayaking experience is necessary as there is a practical explanation to quickly learn how to turn and brake before starting the activity. In addition, the crystal-clear waters offer little resistance when guiding the kayak through the cave.

The speleokayak activity is guided by the company Viunatura, an active tourism company in the province of Castellón, and is aimed at all types of public, with a minimum age of 8 years old.
